If you think you know what to expect from recycled paper ... think again!
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions ...

Why should I choose to use EVOLVE instead of my existing paper?
- EVOLVE large-format paper offers comparable performance and quality to that of virgin papers, yet with all the environmental benefits that its unique recycling and production process provides.

Recycled paper can sometimes be dull and grey, how bright is Evolve? - Heres the difference!  EVOLVE is as bright and white as conventional paper. This brightness and whiteness is achieved through an environmentally friendly and unique production process of multi-stage cleansing that uses only biodegradable cleaners that brighten the paper yet are much kinder to the environment than traditional processes.

Recycled papers usually feel rough, how is EVOLVE different? - EVOLVE is very smooth and compares favourably with conventional papers. EVOLVE's high smoothness presents an excellent surface for Inkjet (black and colour) inks, it also significantly reduces the tendency for the paper to curl ... which is of specific relevance to PPC applications.

Is EVOLVE suitable for archiving purposes? - Yes. EVOLVE is accredited with DIN6738, an international standard that guarantees paper for archiving.

Some say that it takes more energy to make recycled paper than it does to make conventional paper, is that true? - Nope, not true; in fact it takes approximately half the amount of energy to produce paper made from recovered fibre versus paper made from wood pulp.

How is EVOLVEs unique production process kinder to the environment? - EVOLVEs production process is kinder to the environment in four principal areas: it helps in reducing waste in the environment; it saves energy; it conserves water by re-using and recycling at every stage of the production process, and importantly, it cleans, treats and oxygenates the water before pumping it back into the rivers.

What environmental standards are in place at the mill where EVOLVE is produced? - EVOLVE is produced at a mill accredited with ISO14001 which is the internationally recognised standard for environmental responsibility and management. The mill is also accredited with EMAS, the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. In the production of all paper produced by the mill, it is furthermore bound by CoC (Chain of Custody) which requires cooperation with Forest Management Schemes such as FSC or PEFC controlling and tracing the flow of raw material from managed forests.
